After our anniversary trip to NYC, we decided our kids needed to see the Met. Growing up, our parents dragged us around countless museums, and I believe it makes a difference! I researched artwork by time period and regions, and picked out 15 individual pieces for each kid to look for as we went around the museum. When they found the piece, we gave them a card with the image on it. Here are Nuelie and Ellie with their clipboards!
They don't look too excited, do they...
The kids were super excited to see work from all around the world!
It was just a one day trip, so we didn't have time to leave the museum for a long lunch. We ate at the museum cafeteria!
Nuelie gluing in his card for the work he found!
There was an amazing Chinese exhibition (Age of Empires: Chinese art of the Qin and Han Dynasties) while we were there. Overwhelmingly amazing...
The kids got a treat for slogging their way through all day. Ellie got the Met mascot William the hippo, Bella got a unicorn, and Nuelie got a harmonica!
